I think you have the syntax wrong,  I beleave it is a two step proccess.

12598>192.168.1.11  forwards port 12598 to ip 192.168.1.11  on my local 
network.  Then I have to foward port 12598 to port xxx(what-ever) on my local 
machine too.  At least that is what I had to do to got ssh throught my 
external firewall.

But I am not an expert.
